Welcome to MycoTbBase
Mycobacterium TuberculosisDatabase

Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is a pathogenic bacterial species in the superfamily of Mycobacteriaceae and the causative agent of most cases of tuberculosis . Improved methodologies in Tuberculosis(TB) research are important to gain new insights into the biology and epidemiology of the disease. MycoTbBase integrates the available gene and protein information of various strains of the organism Mycobacterium tuberculosis in a single platform. A total of 16052 entries available for protein coding live genes in NCBI-Refseq were curated. Then the gene id's are mapped to identify corresponding protein id's in UniProtKB. Protein informations available for genes are curated from uniprot and integrated in MycoTbBase.
